Leader's History

1980
Completion of a massive demolition project was completed. Leader acquired additional vacant land and residential buildings and expands its facilities. The project took 3 years to finish, cost $800,000, and was financed by City of Milwaukee Industrial Revenue Bonds. Additional machinery was also purchased.

Ralph's eldest son Scott became the first fourth-generation Wilke to work at Leader, and became Co-Vice President and Treasurer.

1984
Scott's younger brother Greg began work at Leader, sharing Vice Presidency with Scott and overseeing manufacturing.

1985
More buildings are purchased by Leader on the same block. By this time, Ralph's 3 eldest sons, Scott, Greg, and Mark, were working for Leader. Ralph's wife Marilyn became company Secretary.

1986
Georgia distribution center opened. Three years later a New Jersey distribution center opened as well, expanding Leader's reach from coast to coast.
